Build your floor plan: sections and tables
Your floor plan is the list of sections (rooms, terrace, bar) and the tables in them. Online availability is calculated from these tables, so every bookable table must exist here with the right number of seats.
Where to find it
Backoffice › Table Management › Floor Plan.
What it does
- Sections: each section has a name and a Section Type (Indoor, Outdoor, Bar, Private, Flexible or Staff Only). Pick a section from the filter to see and edit its floor plan.
- Tables: drag a table shape (square, rectangle, round or a custom size) from the Tables palette onto the floor plan, or click it and then click where it should go. The Tables Items / Decoration palette adds walls, bars and text.
- Table Settings: click a table to set its Number, Prefix, Seats, Shape, size (Width, Height or a Size Presets entry), Rotation and Seat Placement. Size changes save automatically.
- Auto-assignable: "Allow automatic assignment of guests to this table". Only auto-assignable tables are offered online and used by automatic table assignment. Use Enable All for Auto / Disable All for Auto for many tables at once.
- Hide Table and Delete Table.
- Save floor plan stores the positions.
How to create your first section and tables
- Go to Table Management › Floor Plan. If you have no sections yet, you see "Setup Required".
- Click New Section, enter a Section Name (for example "Main Dining"), choose a Section Type, and click Create Section.
- Select the section, then drag a table shape onto the floor plan.
- Click the table and set its number and Seats.
- Repeat for every table, then click Save floor plan.
Good to know
- Minimum and maximum party size per table, and extra seats, are set in Table Management › Capacity Planning › Table Configuration.
- To seat large parties over several tables online, create a table group in Capacity Planning (see "Combine tables for larger parties").
- Tables can only be added to the base floor plan, not to a floor plan version.
- Deleting a section asks what to do with its tables: Move all to another section or Delete all tables. A section without tables is deactivated.
- Deleting a table can't be undone.
- Changes to seats, sections, table types and auto-assignable refresh the widget availability in the background.
- If you work without tables (beta), a banner "You're working without tables" appears here; your tables are kept but not used online.
- Want 10Seat to draw the plan from a photo or drawing of your room? See "Get your floor plan built from an image".
Troubleshooting
"Permission denied. Please check your access rights." Some floor plan changes, such as creating or deleting sections, are limited to Owners and Admins. Ask one of them to make the change or to change your role.
"Cannot add tables to a floor plan version." You are viewing a version. Switch to the Base Version to add tables.
"Please enter a section name" / "Please select a section first" Name the section, or pick a section in the filter before adding tables.
"Table dimensions in pixels (minimum 60px)" / "Please fix size validation errors" A width or height is below the minimum. Enter a larger size.
A new table doesn't appear in the widget Check that it has seats, is Auto-assignable, belongs to an active section, isn't held back by a table release rule, and is visible in the floor plan version used that day. New tables start hidden in existing versions.
