Get your floor plan built from an image
If your previous system can't export its tables, 10Seat support can build a section's tables from an image of your old floor plan, such as a screenshot or a photo. This saves you placing every table by hand.
Where to find it
This is not a self-service screen. Contact 10Seat support and send the image. The result appears in Backoffice › Table Management › Floor Plan.
What it does
- Support uploads your image and 10Seat reads each table's label, number of seats, shape and position.
- Support reviews the proposal against your image, corrects anything that was misread, and chooses the section the tables go into (an existing section or a new one).
- The tables are then created in that section, roughly where they stand on your image.
How to request it
- Take a clear screenshot or photo of the floor plan, one section (room, terrace…) at a time, with table numbers and seat counts readable.
- Send it to 10Seat support with the name of the section each image belongs to.
- When support confirms, open Table Management › Floor Plan and check the tables.
Good to know
- Accepted image types: PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF. Very large images are scaled down; an image over about 6 MB is refused, so send a smaller one.
- Up to 300 tables can be read from one image.
- Labels that couldn't be read, or duplicate table numbers, are flagged for support to fix before anything is created.
- After the import, check each table's Seats in Floor Plan, set online bookable tables and party sizes in Capacity Planning, and create table groups for tables that can be combined. The image import does not create table groups.
Troubleshooting
Some tables are missing or have the wrong number of seats The image was hard to read in that area. Add or correct the tables in Table Management › Floor Plan, or send support a sharper image of that part.
The tables are in the wrong section Ask support which section they were imported into. You can move tables to another section from the Floor Plan when you delete a section (Move all to another section), or contact support to move them.
The tables don't appear in the widget after the import The tables exist, but the widget also needs shifts, online-bookable tables and, for larger parties, table groups. See "How 10Seat decides which times guests can book".
