Included in all plansHost AppFor hosts

Needs: Any staff user

Besides the display mode, the Host App settings let each device choose its text size and theme, tune how the floor and timeline behave, and give access to your account and to 10Seat support.

Where to find it

Host App › Settings, tabs Appearance, Tables, Account, Help & support and Beta.

What it does

Appearance (stored on this device)

  • Theme: Light mode / Dark mode.
  • Font size: Mini, Extra small, Small, Normal (default), Big, Extra big. "Choose Mini or Extra small on compact tablets when you need more on screen." The whole app scales.
  • Compact mode: denser rows in Split, Timeline and List.
  • Show timeline grid: minor grid lines between the hours.

Tables ("How the floor and timeline present reservations")

  • Timeline section order: move sections up or down.
  • Split list: show full notes: notes and requests as text instead of icons.
  • Show No-Show shortcut and Minutes after start before No-Show appears (default 15).
  • Show waitlist in service views.
  • Show walk-ins in reservation lists (off by default).
  • Floor plan scroll zoom: Less sensitive, Medium, Highly sensitive.
  • Focus selected table: pan the floor plan to the selected table (off by default).
  • Show completed & no-show: when off, completed and no-show bookings are hidden from the service views.

Account

  • Your name, email and Role (read-only; "Role updates are managed in Backoffice"), and the primary location ID with a copy button. Refresh profile reloads them.
  • Change password: Current password, New password, Confirm new password, Update password.

Help & support

  • Open support chat to message the 10Seat team and read replies. The page you were on, your device and recent app logs are attached automatically.

Beta

  • Unfinished options to try out, for example how a table with several bookings is drawn on the floor plan (Multiple reservations on one table). "Not ready yet" – don't rely on them during a busy service.

How to make the text bigger on a tablet

  1. Open Settings › Appearance.
  2. Under Font size choose Big or Extra big.
  3. The change applies immediately on this device.

Good to know

  • Everything on Appearance, Tables and Beta is saved on the device only. The Account tab is your user profile and follows you to every device.
  • Simple display mode also enlarges the essentials (time, name, party size) without changing the font size.

Troubleshooting

"New passwords do not match." Type the same new password in both fields.

"Could not update password." The current password is wrong or the new one is too weak. If you sign in with single sign-on, change your password with your identity provider instead.

Text is too small or too big after an update Set Font size again in Appearance; it is stored per device.
