The Host App Service Dashboard
The Service Dashboard is a compact overview of one day for the Host App: total covers, how full the room gets, and how each shift looks. It is mainly meant for checking the day on a phone.
Where to find it
Host App on a phone: Service View › View dropdown › Dashboard. Back to Service returns to the service screen.
The Dashboard option is hidden in Simple display mode (toggle Dashboard in Settings › General › Display mode › Menu).
What it does
- Day navigation with previous / next day arrows.
- Covers: total covers and number of reservations for the day.
- Peak Occupancy: the busiest time and the share of seats in use then ("19:30 • 82% of seats").
- Tables Used: tables in use "of … total tables".
- Operations: average party size, no-shows and cancellations ("No-show … • Cancelled …"), and the next arrival time.
- Per shift: covers and reservations for each shift of the day.
- A day timeline and the weather for morning, noon and evening.
How to use it
- Open the View menu on your phone and choose Dashboard.
- Use the arrows to look at another day.
- Tap Back to Service to continue working.
Good to know
- The numbers follow the same reservations as the service views, updated live.
- For a fuller picture on a computer, use the Backoffice Dashboard, or Shift Brief in the Host App for VIPs, allergies and notes.
Troubleshooting
I can't find Dashboard in the View menu It is hidden by the display mode on this device. Turn on Dashboard under Settings › General › Display mode (Menu).
Weather shows "Loading weather..." or nothing The location's address needs coordinates for the forecast. Ask an admin to complete the address in Backoffice › Settings › Location Settings.
Next arrival shows "n/a" There are no more arrivals expected for the selected day.
