Lightspeed POS with 10Seat — K-Series or L-Series

Add-on: Lightspeed POS — enabled for your location by 10SeatIntegrationsFor managers

Needs: Admin role to connect and change sync settings

10Seat connects to Lightspeed Restaurant point-of-sale systems so reservations, tables, bills and guest spend stay in step between your floor plan and your till. Both Lightspeed product lines are supported, each with its own setup: K-Series and L-Series.

Where to find it

Backoffice › Settings › Integrations › POS integration. The page has two tabs: K-Series and L-Series (Lightspeed POS).

What it does

With Lightspeed connected:

  • Reservations made in 10Seat can be sent to Lightspeed, so the POS knows who is coming and at which table.
  • Seating a guest in 10Seat opens their table on the POS.
  • Bills (receipts) opened and closed in Lightspeed come back to 10Seat: you see them on the reservation in the Host app and on the guest's profile under POS receipts.
  • When the bill is closed in Lightspeed, the visit ends in 10Seat automatically and the spend is added to the reservation and the guest profile.
  • Prepaid deposits taken through 10Seat are passed to the POS so they can be set off against the bill (details differ per series — see the series articles).

How to set it up

  1. Ask 10Seat support to enable Lightspeed POS for your location. Until then the POS integration card under Settings › Integrations is greyed out.
  2. Open Settings › Integrations › POS integration.
  3. Choose the tab that matches your system:
  4. Map your Lightspeed floors and tables to your 10Seat sections and tables on the same tab.

Good to know

  • One system per location. The page warns: "If you connect one system, you must disconnect it (or disable the other add-on) before using the other — the API blocks running both at once."
  • Only users with the Admin role can connect, disconnect, or change sync settings. Other users see "Only admins can change sync settings."
  • K-Series uses one Lightspeed account connection for your whole company; each 10Seat location is then linked to its own Lightspeed business location. L-Series is connected per location.
  • When Lightspeed is connected, the POS leads seated visits: a seated reservation stays seated while its bill is open and completes when the bill is closed. The Auto-complete reservations booking rule then has no effect — the backoffice says so next to the setting.

Troubleshooting

The POS integration page says the Lightspeed POS add-on is not enabled The add-on has not been switched on for this location. Contact 10Seat support to enable it.

"Another POS integration is already active for this location" The other Lightspeed series is still connected. Disconnect it on its tab first (K-Series: Danger zone › Disconnect Lightspeed account or Unlink location; L-Series: Disconnect Lightspeed), then connect the one you want.

"This location already has Lightspeed K-Series connected…" / "…L-Series connected…" Same cause as above: only one series can be connected per location. Disconnect the series named in the message.

We moved from L-Series to K-Series (or back) and tables don't line up Mappings belong to each series. After connecting the new series, redo the floor and table mapping on its tab.
