Service prep dashboard (older page, not in the menu)
The Service prep dashboard is an older Backoffice page for reviewing a day's reservations before service. It still works, but it is no longer linked from the Backoffice menu. For preparing service, the Backoffice Dashboard, the Reservations page, and the Host App's Shift Brief and Print the day are the recommended tools.
Where to find it
It is not in the sidebar. If a colleague bookmarked it, it opens from that bookmark. Otherwise use the pages above.
What it does
- A day selector (previous day, today, next day) and a shifts overview.
- Status filter: all, confirmed, pending, seated; a guest search; list or grid layout.
- For each reservation: Seat customer, Confirm reservation, Cancel reservation.
- Clicking a reservation opens Manage Reservation: customer information, contact details, date, time, party size, duration, status, special requests, notes, and a Table Assignment picker.
How to use it (if you still do)
- Open the page from your bookmark.
- Pick the date.
- Use the filter and search to find bookings, and open one to change its tables or notes.
Good to know
- Cancel reservation on this page cancels immediately, without a confirmation step and without a cancellation email to the guest. Use the Reservations page or the Host App if you want to notify the guest.
- Everything you do here is the same reservation data as in the Host App and the Reservations page.
Troubleshooting
I can't find "Service prep" in the menu The page has been removed from the menu. Use Dashboard › Today at a glance, the Reservations page, or the Host App Shift Brief.
"Failed to cancel reservation. Please try again." / "Failed to seat reservation…" The change did not save. Refresh and try again, or make the change on the Reservations page.
