Analytics Performance tab — occupancy, repeat guests and forecasts
The Performance tab shows how well you use your seats and tables over a period, how many guests come back, and what today is expected to look like.
Where to find it
Backoffice › Analytics › Performance. The KPI cards, party size, guest metrics and table efficiency follow the date range picker. Demand Forecast and Booking Velocity (Today) are always about today.
What it does
KPI cards
- Capacity Utilization — your occupancy. Booked seat-time (party size × reservation duration) divided by available seat-time (total seats × opening minutes of each day in the range). The subtext shows the number of days with data.
- Avg Covers / Service — covers divided by the number of days that had at least one booking, with your total seat capacity.
- Repeat Guests — your return rate: the share of guests (recognised by email address) with more than one reservation in the selected period, shown as "N of M".
- Table Efficiency — the average, over all tables, of booked time divided by opening time, with the number of potential double-bookings.
Demand Forecast — today's Predicted covers: a weighted average of the same weekday over the last 8 weeks (recent weeks count more), with a range of one standard deviation, plus the Historical Covers of those weeks.
Booking Velocity (Today) — when today's bookings were made: how many came in 14+ days, 7–14, 3–7, 1–3 days before, or on the day itself, as a cumulative line.
Covers by Party Size — reservations and covers for parties of 1–2, 3–4, 5–6 and 7+.
Guest Metrics — Unique Guests, Repeat Guests, Repeat ratio and the Period analysed.
Table Efficiency (detail) — average and variance, a summary per section, and per table its utilisation, seats, covers served and reservations. Potential double-bookings (two active reservations on the same table whose times overlap) are listed with the date, table and reservation IDs.
Good to know
- Duration defaults to 90 minutes for reservations without one.
- Opening minutes come from your shifts in location hours. Days without shifts add no capacity; bookings on such days can push utilisation above what you'd expect.
- Repeat guests only look inside the selected period. A guest who visited once in the period but often before counts as a first-time guest here. Reservations without an email aren't counted. Cancelled and no-show bookings do count towards the guest list.
- Table metrics only use reservations with a table assigned.
Troubleshooting
Capacity Utilization is 0% or very low Check that your tables have seats in Table Management and that your location hours have shifts.
Capacity Utilization is above 100% Bookings were taken outside your configured shifts, durations are longer than your opening time, or tables are missing from the floor plan.
Repeat Guests looks too low Many reservations have no guest email, or the period is short. Choose a longer range (for example Last 90 days).
Double-bookings are listed but the Host App looks fine The check compares reservation times and durations per table and date. Overlaps caused by a long default duration (90 minutes) can show up here; review the listed reservations.
