Analytics Today tab — live service numbers

The Today tab gives managers a quick picture of the current service: how many guests are expected, how many are seated, how busy the next hour and a half will be, and how each table is used today.

Where to find it

Backoffice › Analytics › Today. The tab refreshes automatically every minute; click Refresh to update it straight away. It has no date picker — it always shows today.

What it does

Top cards

• Covers Today — total covers booked for today (see "how the numbers are counted" in the Analytics overview), with the number of reservations.
• Currently Seated — covers of reservations with the status seated.
• Tables Occupied — tables used by seated reservations, out of all your tables.
• Next 90 min — covers (and reservations) due to start in the next 90 minutes that are not seated yet.
• Avg Party Size — covers divided by reservations.

Service Stress Index — currently seated covers plus the next 90 minutes' covers, as a percentage of your total seats. Above 80% shows High load, above 50% Moderate, otherwise Comfortable. The breakdown shows Seated, Upcoming, Capacity (your total seats) and Completed.

Covers by Hour — today's covers per starting hour, with your shifts marked.

Status Breakdown — the number of today's reservations per status: confirmed, reconfirmed, pending, seated, completed, cancelled, no show, late, awaiting payment, payment received, reconfirmation requested. This is where you see today's no-shows and cancellations.

Table Utilization Today — per table, the share of today's opening time that is booked (red above 80%, amber above 50%). Only tables with a booking today are listed.

Good to know

• "Seated" relies on your team updating reservation statuses in the Host App. If guests aren't marked seated, Currently Seated, Tables Occupied and the stress index stay low.
• Total seats come from your floor plan; opening time from your location hours and shifts.
• Reservations without a duration count as 90 minutes in table utilisation.
• Table figures only include reservations that have a table assigned.

Troubleshooting

"Next 90 min" or the Service Stress Index don't match what I see on the floor The 90-minute window is currently worked out on UTC time rather than your restaurant's local time, so it can be shifted by your time-zone difference. Use the Host App timeline for the exact next arrivals; contact 10Seat support if you rely on this figure.

Shortly after midnight, Today still shows yesterday's or no data Part of this tab uses UTC dates, so the day can switch over at a different moment than in your time zone.

Currently Seated is 0 during service Reservations haven't been marked as seated. Seat guests in the Host App.

Tables Occupied shows "0 / 0" No tables are set up for this location. Add them in Table Management.

"Failed to load analytics" Click Retry. If it keeps failing, reload the page.
