Connect Mollie to take online payments

Connect your own Mollie account so guests can pay deposits, ticket prices and payment links online, and buy gift vouchers. The money goes straight to your Mollie account.

Backoffice › Settings › Payments › Payment Provider › Mollie

What it does

  • Links your Mollie account to the selected location with a secure Mollie login ("OAuth connection for hosted checkout").
  • Guests pay on Mollie's own payment page, which opens in a new window from the widget.
  • Active for online guest payments shows which provider the location uses. Only one provider can be active per location: Mollie or MultiSafepay.

How to set it up

  1. Select the location in the header (payments are set per location).
  2. Go to Settings › Payments and click Connect next to Mollie.
  3. Log in to Mollie and approve the connection. You come back to the Payments page with "Mollie account connected successfully".
  4. Under Mollie website profile (per location), choose the Profile for this restaurant (click Refresh profiles if the list is empty) and click Save profile. The profile decides the branding and payment methods on the Mollie page.
  5. Set up what to charge: experience deposits, per-guest booking payment, or no-show protection.

How to test without real money

After connecting, Mollie test mode lets you use your Mollie Test API key (starts with test_, found in Mollie Dashboard → Developers → API keys). Switch on Use test API key for guest payments, paste the key and click Save test settings. Switch it off again before going live ("Live mode restored…").

Good to know

  • Connecting Mollie disconnects MultiSafepay for that location (you are asked to confirm first).
  • Disconnect stops all online payments for that location. Deposits are then not taken.
  • The payment methods guests can use are switched on in your Mollie dashboard, per profile.
  • Each location can connect a different Mollie account or profile.

Troubleshooting

"Profile ID must start with "pfl_"" If the list does not load, copy the profile ID from Mollie Dashboard → Profiles; it starts with pfl_.

"Couldn't load profiles automatically." Click Refresh profiles, or paste the profile ID by hand.

Payments fail while test mode is on "Save a test API key before processing payments — charges will fail until it is set." Paste the test key and save, or switch test mode off.

Guests see payment methods I don't want Change the methods for that profile in your Mollie dashboard.

The Connect button is greyed out No location is selected. "Select a location in the header to connect Mollie or MultiSafepay for that site."

"Failed to connect Mollie" Try Reconnect. Make sure you approve the connection in Mollie with the account that owns the profile.
