Send or schedule a newsletter (audience and email credits)
When your newsletter is ready, you choose who receives it, check your email credits, and send it straight away or at a planned time. Only guests who opted in to marketing and have a valid email address receive it.
Where to find it
Backoffice › Communication Centre › Newsletters › open a newsletter › Audience and Send….
What it does
Audience
- All subscribers — "Everyone with a valid email who opted in to marketing."
- Selected guests — hand-pick guests by searching name, email or phone. Guests are labelled Subscriber, No consent or No email; those without consent or email are skipped.
- The editor shows "N recipients will receive this newsletter."
Email credits
- Each email sent uses one credit. The Email credits bar shows "X used of Y purchased" and what is remaining.
- Credits are reserved when the send starts. Skipped or failed deliveries are refunded automatically.
- "Contact 10Seat to top up your email credits."
Send newsletter window
- Send now or Schedule with a Send date & time ("Must be at least 10 minutes from now").
- Language to send — the one language all recipients get.
- Recipients and Email credits cost (with the credits left).
Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. Guests who use it are set to Not subscribed and won't receive future newsletters.
How to send
- Open the newsletter and set the Audience.
- Click Send….
- Choose Send now or Schedule and, for a schedule, the date and time.
- Pick the Language to send.
- Check Recipients and Email credits cost, then confirm. You see "Newsletter queued — sending up to N emails" or "Newsletter scheduled for …".
- Follow progress in the list ("Sent X of Y"). A scheduled newsletter can be stopped with Cancel schedule; it returns to draft.
Good to know
- One send can reach at most 25,000 recipients.
- For a scheduled send, credits are checked when the send starts, not when you schedule it. "The newsletter will be sent automatically at the scheduled time if credits are available."
- Delivery happens in the background and can take a while for large audiences.
- Newsletters are separate from booking emails: guests who unsubscribe still receive their confirmations and reminders.
Troubleshooting
"No eligible recipients (must have email + marketing consent)." Nobody in the audience is subscribed with an email. See "Collect and manage guest marketing consent".
"Not enough email credits for this send." Your remaining credits are lower than the number of recipients. Narrow the audience or contact 10Seat to top up. No email credits purchased yet means you have none.
"… recipients exceeds the 25,000 limit for a single send." Split the audience over several newsletters (for example with Selected guests).
"This language needs a subject and content before sending." The chosen Language to send has no subject or no blocks. Fill it in or pick another language.
"Failed to send" / "Newsletter is already sending" If it is already sending, wait for it to finish. Otherwise check the subject and content and try again.
The schedule is refused The send time must be at least 10 minutes from now. Pick a later time.
