Create a newsletter with the block editor
With the Newsletters add-on you can design marketing emails — news, events, offers — and send them to guests who opted in. You build the newsletter from blocks, in one or more languages, and can let Coco write a first draft.
Where to find it
- Enable: Backoffice › Settings › Add-ons › Newsletters › Enable Newsletters (admins only).
- Use: Backoffice › Communication Centre › Newsletters. This menu item only appears once the add-on is on.
What it does
The Newsletters list shows each newsletter with its status (Draft, Scheduled, Sending, Sent), audience and delivery progress ("120 of 300 delivered").
In the editor:
- Newsletter name — for you only.
- Languages — English, Nederlands, Français, Español, Català, Euskara, Italiano, Deutsch, Português. Add language, remove one, or Set "…" as default.
- Subject per language.
- Content blocks: Heading, Text (bold, italic, underline, links), Image (upload, alt text, optional link), Button, Divider and Spacer. Use the arrows to move blocks and the bin to delete them.
- Quick links: add a Booking widget button ("Book a table") or a booking button for one of your experiences ("Book …").
- Let Coco write it for you: describe the newsletter, optionally tick Talk about your experiences and Mention seating types, pick the languages, and click Generate with Coco.
- Preview shows the live result per language. Your logo and colours from Email Templates are used.
How to create a newsletter
- Go to Newsletters and click New newsletter.
- Give it a name.
- Add the languages you want and choose the default.
- For each language, write a Subject and add blocks under Content.
- Add a booking button from Quick links so readers can reserve directly.
- Click Preview to check, then Save draft ("Draft saved").
- When ready, send or schedule it — see "Send or schedule a newsletter".
Good to know
- Each send goes out in one language, chosen when you send. To reach guests in different languages, send the newsletter once per language to the right audience.
- Coco replaces the content of the selected languages with a fresh draft — review it before sending. Coco requests count toward your Coco usage.
- Links must start with http(s) (buttons and images) or http(s)/mailto (text links).
- Once sent, a newsletter is read-only: "This newsletter has been sent and can no longer be edited." Create a new one for the next mailing.
- A newsletter can't be deleted while it is sending.
Troubleshooting
"Newsletters add-on is not enabled" Click Go to Add-ons and enable Newsletters. Only users with the Admin role can do this (currently also not the account Owner) — ask an Admin or contact 10Seat support.
"Only http(s) links are allowed." / "Only http(s) and mailto links are allowed."
Start the link with https:// (or mailto: in text).
"Image upload failed" Try a smaller image in a common format (JPG or PNG) and upload again.
"Coco could not generate the newsletter" Try again with a shorter description. If you see "You've used today's free Coco requests.", wait until tomorrow or ask about the Coco add-on.
"Only draft newsletters can be edited" The newsletter is scheduled, sending or sent. Cancel the schedule first, or create a new newsletter.
