Schedule an experience (dates, weekdays, hours and shifts per day)
Decide exactly when an experience can be booked: always, during a period or on single dates, on which weekdays and hours, in which shifts per day, and which dates are blocked.
Where to find it
- In the experience editor: Time & Availability and Shifts.
- Quick edit: Edit dates on the experience card.
- Per day: Planning › Service Calendar, select a date, then the Experiences panel.
What it does
Window
- Always – "No date limits — available whenever the selected weekdays and shifts match."
- Period – a Start date and End date.
- Single dates – pick one or more dates with Add Date (for example a one-night event).
Weekdays – limit to certain days (not shown for single dates). No day selected means every day.
Not offered on – block dates on an always-on or period experience: From, Until (optional), then Block. Remove a block with Offer again on these dates.
Hours – Restrict to specific hours, then choose:
- Time range – a start and end time, with a Default and optional different hours per weekday (Override).
- Fixed start times – "Guests can only book these exact times, e.g. 11:00, 13:00, 15:00, 17:00."
Shifts – the shifts it runs in. Shifts added for specific dates in the Day Planner appear with their dates ("One-off shift from the Day Planner").
Shifts per day – appears when two or more shifts are selected (not for single dates). "Every day above runs all selected shifts. Switch a shift off to make an exception for that day." Example: lunch and dinner Wednesday–Saturday, Sunday lunch only.
How to change one day
In Planning › Service Calendar, pick the date. The Experiences panel lists each experience with its bookings and guests for that day. Click Disable to switch it off for that day only, or Enable to offer it on a day its normal rules exclude. You can also choose Disabled Experiences when changing the day's status.
Good to know
- Enable for a day lifts the date rules only. A shift you switched off under Shifts per day stays off, and a shift must be open that day ("No open shift for this experience" → open a shift it runs in first).
- An experience tied to a shift appears on a day you open that shift exceptionally, and disappears when you close it.
- Fixed start times must fit the widget's Time Slot Interval. If not, the editor warns: "Not on the …-minute booking grid, so guests will never see: …".
Troubleshooting
