Turn on Coco, set confirmations and understand the free limit

Coco is available on every location with a small free allowance. The Coco AI Assistant add-on removes the daily limit and unlocks the Coco settings page, the Coco staff app and Guest Coco.

Where to find it

  • Add-on: Backoffice › Settings › Add-ons › Coco AI Assistant (marked Beta).
  • Settings: Backoffice › Settings › Coco AI Assistant (in the Guest experience section; the card appears once the add-on is on). Page title: Coco AI Assistant.

What it does

Free allowance: without the add-on, each location gets 3 free Coco requests per day in the backoffice panel and on the Setup page. A request is a new message you send; replying confirm or cancel to a pending action doesn't count. The count resets each day in the venue's time zone.

With the add-on: unlimited Coco requests, plus the settings page with:

  • Backoffice Coco — Enable Coco: the switch for Coco operations for your team. It must be on (together with the add-on) for the Coco staff app to work.
  • Confirm before applying changes — "Recommended: the assistant asks you to confirm before it writes reservations, guest profiles, or calendar changes." On by default. Turn on Coco to use this option.
  • Guest Coco — AI replies in the guest reservation chat (see "Set up Guest Coco").

How to turn on the Coco add-on

  1. Go to Settings › Add-ons and open Coco AI Assistant.
  2. Click Enable Coco. You see "Coco add-on enabled".
  3. Click Open AI settings to go to the settings page.
  4. Under Backoffice Coco, switch on Enable Coco.
  5. Keep Confirm before applying changes on unless you have a good reason not to.

To switch it off again, click Disable Coco on the add-on page.

Good to know

  • Only admins can enable the add-on or change these settings ("Only admins can change this").
  • Even with Confirm before applying changes off, Coco always asks before guest-visible and high-impact actions — sending messages or emails, cancelling, assigning tables, and changing availability or settings.
  • Every action Coco takes is checked against the permissions of the person asking.
  • The add-on is per location. Ask 10Seat about pricing for the add-on.

Troubleshooting

"You've used today's free Coco requests." Wait until tomorrow (venue time) or enable the Coco AI Assistant add-on for unlimited use.

The Coco AI Assistant settings page says to turn on the add-on first "Turn on the Coco AI Assistant add-on for this location first." Click Open Coco add-on and enable it.

I don't see the Coco AI Assistant card in Settings The add-on is off for the selected location. Enable it under Settings › Add-ons.

"Only admins can manage add-ons" / "Only admins can change this" Ask a user with the Admin role.

The Coco staff app says Coco is not enabled Both the add-on and Backoffice Coco › Enable Coco must be on for that location.
