Set up group booking across your locations

Group booking helps restaurant groups keep guests when one venue is full. When a guest finds no availability at one of your locations, its booking widget can suggest your other venues ("sibling suggestions"). You also get a group widget that shows several venues side by side.

Where to find it

Location switcher › HQ Dashboard › Group Booking in the HQ sidebar. The page title is Group Booking.

What it does

• Group booking switch: "Enable sibling redirects and the side-by-side group widget." It is off by default.
• Display name: your group's name as shown to guests.
• Location picker:
  • Directory: "Guests see a list of venues and choose one before seeing any availability." This is the default.
  • Availability: "Guests pick guests and a date once, and every venue card shows its bookable times."
• Minimum locations for group grid (default 3, minimum 2): "Groups with fewer locations use sibling redirect only."
• Accent color: Coral, Indigo or Emerald.
• Locations (drag to reorder): for each location:
  • Promotable or Hidden: only promotable locations are suggested to guests of your other venues.
  • A Pitch, for example "our cocktail bar is a 5-minute walk".
  • Cuisine type, Vibe, Price level (Budget, Mid, Premium, Fine dining) and a Proximity note.
• Group widget embed code: Copy embed code to put the group widget on your group website.
• Preview: see the group widget before you publish it.

How to set it up

1. Turn on Group booking.
2. Enter a Display name and pick the Location picker style and an Accent color.
3. In Locations, drag venues into the order you want, mark the ones to suggest as Promotable, and add a pitch and profile details.
4. Click Save. You see "Group booking settings saved".
5. Optional: click Copy embed code and paste the snippet into your group website.

Good to know

• Suggestions only appear when Group booking is on and the location has at least one other promotable venue.
• In a location's widget, other venues are suggested on the date and time step when there is no availability for the chosen date.
• Give every venue a map pin (Settings › Location Settings › Map position) so distance-based ordering works.
• The order you set is the order guests see.

Troubleshooting

Guests aren't offered our other venues when a location is full Check that Group booking is on, that the other venues are marked Promotable, and that you clicked Save.

"Failed to load settings" / "Failed to save settings" Refresh the page and try again. Only company-wide Owners and Admins can open this page.

A venue I don't want suggested still appears Set it to Hidden in Locations and save.

The group widget shows a simple list instead of times Location picker is set to Directory. Choose Availability and save. The grid also needs at least the Minimum locations for group grid.
