Included in all plansBooking widgetFor managers

Needs: Owner or Admin

Use these settings to show your own message on each booking screen, collect marketing consent, and link guests to your privacy policy and terms.

Where to find it

Backoffice › Settings › Widget Management › Content & Branding

What it does

Custom Text Per Screen – one optional text for each of these screens: Party Size Screen, Date/Time Screen, Guest Info Screen and Confirmation Screen. Leave a box empty to show nothing. You can use bold, italic and links (written as [text](https://…)).

Marketing consent – Show marketing consent checkbox adds an opt-in box on the confirmation step. Guests must tick it themselves; it is never pre-ticked. Options:

  • Custom consent text (optional) – your own wording. Without it guests read "Don't miss out on the latest events, promotions and other offers from" followed by your restaurant name.
  • Privacy policy URL (optional) – shown as a "Privacy policy" link next to the box.

Terms – every booking shows "By booking a table you agree to our Terms".

  • Legal company name for terms (optional) – the company name on the 10Seat-hosted terms page, when it differs from your location name.
  • Custom terms URL (optional) – link to your own terms instead. Leave empty to use the 10Seat hosted terms page.
  • Preview hosted terms – opens the hosted terms page.

How to set it up

  1. Go to Settings › Widget Management and open Content & Branding.
  2. Type your texts under Custom Text Per Screen, for example "For groups over 8, please call us" on the Party Size Screen.
  3. Switch on Show marketing consent checkbox and add your privacy policy link if you want to collect opt-ins.
  4. Fill in Custom terms URL or Legal company name for terms if needed.
  5. Click Save theme in the bottom bar.

Good to know

  • Custom texts are shown exactly as typed. They are not translated when the guest switches language, so write them in the language most of your guests use (or in two languages).
  • A statutory company name set under Settings › Location Settings › Business & billing details takes priority over Legal company name for terms.
  • Guests who tick the marketing box are recorded as having opted in to marketing emails, which is what newsletters use.

Troubleshooting

My text does not show in the widget The text was typed but not saved. Click Save theme. Also check you typed it in the box for the right screen.

My link in the text is not clickable Write it as [Our menu](https://www.example.com/menu) with the full address starting with https://.

The marketing checkbox does not appear It is only on the last (confirmation) step and only when Show marketing consent checkbox is on and saved.

The terms page shows the wrong company name Set the statutory company name under Location Settings › Business & billing details; it wins over the widget field.
