Set up your restaurant microsite
The microsite is a simple one-page website for your location, hosted by 10Seat. It shows your welcome text, a hero image, opening hours, contact details with a map, and the booking widget. It is useful if you have no website, or as a direct booking link.
Where to find it
Backoffice › Settings › Microsite
What it does
The page shows, from top to bottom:
- Your logo and location name.
- A hero image.
- A welcome title and description.
- The booking widget ("Reserve a Table").
- Opening Hours, with today highlighted, and Contact Information with a map and a Get Directions button.
Guests can switch the page language (English, Nederlands, Français, Español, Português, Deutsch, Italiano); the booking widget follows that language.
How to set it up
- Select the location in the header and go to Settings › Microsite.
- Under Subdomain Configuration, type a Subdomain (for example your restaurant name) and click Check. You need "Subdomain is available". Only lowercase letters, numbers and dashes are kept.
- Click Enable Microsite.
- Under Welcome Text, add a Title (optional) and Description, then click Save Welcome Text. Without a title, guests see "Welcome to" followed by your name.
- Under Logo, upload a logo (PNG, JPG or GIF up to 10MB; a square logo works best).
- Under Hero Image, upload a photo or search the Stock Images.
- Use View Microsite to open it, and Copy Link to share it.
Good to know
- Opening hours, address and contact details come from Location Settings and your hours. Update them there.
- The booking widget on the microsite uses your saved widget colors and booking rules.
- Use Turn microsite off to take the page offline temporarily. Visitors then see "This page is currently unavailable".
- The logo and hero image can only be uploaded once the microsite is enabled.
- Always share the address from Copy Link; that is the exact public address of your page.
Troubleshooting
"This slug is already taken" Another restaurant uses that subdomain. Add your city or a word, for example "bistro-anna-gent".
"Please enable the microsite above before uploading a logo." Click Enable Microsite first, then upload.
"Microsite not accessible" even though it is enabled The status check could not reach the page at that moment. Click Retry, or open View Microsite. If the page loads for you, guests can reach it too; the message on this screen mentions a "development server", which you can ignore. If it really does not load, contact 10Seat support.
"You do not have permission to enable microsites" Only users with the Owner or Admin role can enable or change the microsite.
Guests see "We couldn't find this page" The link is old (the subdomain was changed) or mistyped. Copy the link again from Settings › Microsite.
Opening hours are wrong on the microsite They come from your location hours. Fix them under Settings › Location hours and shifts.
