Map K-Series floors and tables (and fix number mismatches)

Add-on: Lightspeed POS — enabled for your location by 10SeatIntegrationsFor managers

Needs: Any backoffice user who can open the POS integration page

Table mapping tells 10Seat which Lightspeed K-Series table is which 10Seat table. Without it, a seated guest can't be opened on the right table in the POS, and bills from the POS can't be shown on your floor plan.

Where to find it

Backoffice › Settings › Integrations › POS integration › tab K-Series › K-Series floor & table mapping (below the connection cards, once the location is linked).

What it does

  • Each Lightspeed floor plan appears as a card. You link the floor to a 10Seat section, then link each Lightspeed table on that floor to a 10Seat table.
  • Each floor card shows Linked to or Not linked, and a badge such as 8/12 tables mapped.
  • When you connect, 10Seat auto-maps a table when its prefix + number (for example A12) matches exactly one 10Seat table with the same prefix and number. Lightspeed tables without a prefix are matched by number within the floor's linked section (for example "14" to "T-14").
  • Number mismatch warnings: when a linked 10Seat table has a different number than its Lightspeed table, the row shows "10Seat 12 ≠ Lightspeed 14" and the floor shows "1 linked table shows a different number than Lightspeed".

How to map floors and tables

  1. Next to each Lightspeed floor, under Map to 10Seat section, choose a section — or type a name in Or create new section... and click Create.
  2. For each Lightspeed table, choose a 10Seat table in the dropdown (Section tables are listed first, then Other tables).
  3. No matching 10Seat table yet? Click New to create one with the Lightspeed table's name, number and seats, already mapped. The floor must be mapped to a section first.
  4. Click Auto-map by prefix + number to map any remaining tables that match automatically.
  5. Use Refresh after changing floors or tables in Lightspeed.

How to fix table-number mismatches

Staff see the 10Seat prefix + number on the floor plan, so they should match the POS.

  • One table: click Use 14 (the Lightspeed number) on the row.
  • A whole floor: in the mismatch box enter a Prefix (for example "OG-") and click Apply 3 changes. Use a different prefix per floor when Lightspeed reuses the same numbers on several floors.
  • If a new number is already used by another 10Seat table you see "Can't sync yet — these numbers are already used. Try another prefix:" with the conflicts listed. Choose another prefix.

Good to know

  • Removing a floor mapping (the remove button next to the section dropdown) or a table mapping (Remove mapping) does not delete any table.
  • Change business location in the Danger zone clears all floor and table mappings for this location.
  • The Lightspeed business location in use is shown at the top of the mapping card ("Linked Lightspeed location").

Troubleshooting

"Map the floor to a section first" You clicked New on a table whose floor isn't linked to a section. Choose a section for the floor, then try again.

"No tables found on this floor plan in K-Series" Lightspeed returned the floor without tables. Check the floor in your Lightspeed setup, then click Refresh. If it stays empty, contact 10Seat support.

"No new mappings — match prefix + table number on unmapped tables, or map floors to sections first." Auto-map found nothing it could match with certainty. Map floors to sections, then map the remaining tables by hand.

Guests are seated in 10Seat but the POS doesn't open their table The 10Seat table is probably not mapped. Map it here. See also "Lightspeed K-Series sync problems".

A bill shows in Lightspeed but not on our 10Seat floor plan The Lightspeed table isn't mapped to a 10Seat table. Map it here.
