Offer an experience at fixed start times
Some experiences start at set times only, such as a high tea at 11:00, 13:00, 15:00 and 17:00. With fixed start times, guests can only pick those exact times for that experience.
Where to find it
Backoffice › Reservation experiences › open the experience › Hours › Restrict to specific hours › How guests pick a time.
What it does
- Time range: guests can pick any time between a start and an end, on your normal time slot grid.
- Fixed start times: "Guests can only book these exact times, e.g. 11:00, 13:00, 15:00, 17:00." Enter the times separated by commas.
- You can set times for the Default and, per weekday, different times.
- Any time that is not on your widget's time slot interval is flagged: "Not on the 30-minute booking grid, so guests will never see: …".
How to set fixed start times
- Go to Reservation experiences and open the experience.
- Under Hours, turn on Restrict to specific hours and choose Fixed start times.
- In Default, type the times, for example
11:00, 13:00, 15:00, 17:00, and press Enter or click outside the field. - Optional: select weekdays to give them their own times.
- Click Save in the "Unsaved experience changes" bar.
Good to know
- A fixed time is only offered when everything else allows it: the shift is open and runs at that time, cut-offs haven't passed, a table fits for the experience's duration, and pacing or guest limits aren't reached.
- Times must match your time slot grid (Settings › Widget Management › Booking Rules › Time Slot Interval). With a 30-minute interval, 11:15 is never shown.
- If you clear the field or type only invalid times, the last saved list comes back, so an experience never loses its times by accident.
- Switching back to Time range keeps the first time as the start.
- Online bookings for other times are refused for this experience.
Troubleshooting
"Not on the 30-minute booking grid, so guests will never see: 11:15" Change the time to one on the grid, or choose a smaller Time Slot Interval in the widget settings.
A fixed time doesn't appear in the widget The time may be outside the shift's hours or after its Last Booking Slot Time, past a cut-off today, fully booked, or blocked by pacing. Check the shift in Settings › Location hours and shifts and Planning › Booking Rules.
Guests see all times instead of the fixed ones Restrict to specific hours is off, or Time range is selected. Switch to Fixed start times and save.
