Analytics Widget tab — booking funnel and drop-offs
The Widget tab shows how guests move through your online booking widget: how many open it, how far they get, where they stop, and tips to convert more of them.
Where to find it
Backoffice › Analytics › Widget. Uses the date range picker (default: last 30 days).
What it does
KPI cards
- Booking conversion — completed bookings as a share of widget engagement: "N of M widget opens" for the bubble widget (the guest clicked it open). For embedded widgets, which have no open step, it is based on loads; if neither was recorded, on tracked starts. Green from 25%, red below 12%.
- Widget loads — how often the widget was loaded on a page, with how many times it was opened.
- Reservations — bookings completed through the widget, with how many were submitted.
- Avg time to book — average time from opening the widget to a completed booking, with the number of bookings measured.
Booking funnel — how far guests get — the share of guests who reached each step: Location, Party size, Date & time, Service, Guest details, Extra info, Confirmation, Payment, Booked, with how many reached and dropped and the average time per step. Steps your widget doesn't use stay empty.
Biggest drop-off — the step where most guests left, with Top reasons: Closed the widget, Left page or tab or Reason not captured.
Insights & tips — rule-based tips from your traffic and widget setup, labelled Needs attention, Opportunity, Doing well or Good to know. Get AI advice writes a short summary with suggestions.
Most-clicked elements — what guests clicked most in the widget.
Benchmarks — comparisons with similar restaurants, marked Coming soon.
Good to know
- Only bookings made through the 10Seat booking widget are counted here. Phone, walk-in, Host App and Google bookings are not — see Channel Mix on the Planning tab for all sources.
- Tracking needs the guest's browser to send events; blockers and very short visits can mean some sessions aren't recorded, so numbers here can be lower than your actual widget bookings.
- AI advice is generated on request and kept for about 15 minutes for the same period.
Troubleshooting
"No widget traffic in this period" The widget hasn't been loaded in the selected period, or isn't installed on your website yet. Widen the range, and check the widget installation (Settings › Widget Management).
"Not enough traffic yet" / "No clear drop-off point" There aren't enough sessions to point out a clear step. Check again after more traffic.
"No explicit reasons captured yet." Drop-off reasons are only recorded when the browser reports them; new drop-offs will be grouped here.
"AI advice isn't available right now." The AI summary couldn't be produced. The rule-based tips below still apply; try again later.
Booking conversion looks low compared with my reservations The rate only uses widget bookings and widget opens. Guests who opened the widget just to look count too.
"Failed to load widget analytics" Reload the page or choose a shorter period.
