Track widget bookings with Google Analytics or Meta Pixel

Included in all plansBooking widgetFor managers

Needs: Owner or Admin

You can send booking events from the widget to your own Google Analytics 4 property or Meta (Facebook) Pixel, so you can measure which campaigns bring reservations.

Where to find it

Backoffice › Settings › Widget Management › Integration › Marketing & tracking

What it does

When an ID is filled in, the widget sends events such as widget open, booking submit, reservation confirmed and payment completed to that account automatically.

  • Google Analytics 4 ID – the Measurement ID from GA4 (Admin → Data streams), in the format G-XXXXXXXX.
  • Meta Pixel ID – the numeric pixel ID from Meta Events Manager (5 to 20 digits).

How to set it up

  1. Go to Settings › Widget Management and open Integration.
  2. Read the Cookie consent may be required notice.
  3. Paste your Google Analytics 4 ID and/or Meta Pixel ID.
  4. Click Save theme in the bottom bar.
  5. Make a test booking and check the events in GA4 (Realtime) or Meta Events Manager.

Good to know

  • Google Analytics and Meta Pixel set marketing and tracking cookies. In the EU you must get the guest's consent before they load, for example through your website's cookie banner. 10Seat does not show a cookie banner inside the widget; you are responsible for consent on your site.
  • If your website already loads the same Google or Meta pixel, remove one of the two to avoid counting each booking twice.
  • The marketing consent checkbox in the widget is about marketing emails, not about tracking cookies.

Troubleshooting

"Invalid Google Analytics ID. Use format G-XXXXXXXX." You pasted a different kind of ID (for example an old "UA-" ID or a "GTM-" container ID). Use the GA4 Measurement ID that starts with G-.

"Invalid Meta Pixel ID. Use numbers only (5–20 digits)." Paste only the number of the pixel, without spaces or letters.

Bookings are counted twice The same pixel or GA4 tag is loaded both by your website and by the widget. Remove it from one of them.

No events arrive The IDs were not saved, or an ad blocker or privacy setting in the browser blocks the tracking. Test in a normal browser window without ad blockers.
