Set party sizes and time slots for online booking

These widget settings decide which party sizes guests can pick online, how far apart the bookable times are, and how services are shown.

What it does

  • Minimum Party Size – the smallest party guests can choose (default 1).
  • Maximum Party Size – the largest party guests can choose (1 to 20). By default it follows your floor capacity ("Based on floor capacity: … guests"). Tick Manual override to type your own number.
  • Hide Regular Seating in widget – only shown when you use table types. Hides the generic "Regular Seating" option so guests only see your own table types.
  • Time Slot Interval – the gap between bookable times: 15, 30 (default), 45, 60 or 120 minutes. For example 15 minutes gives 18:00, 18:15, 18:30. Each service can override this under Per-Shift Customization.
  • Combine shift + date step – guests pick the service (for example Lunch or Dinner) above the calendar on the same screen. Leaving the service unselected shows all times.
  • Shift order in the widget – appears when the combined step is on and you have more than one service. Use the arrows to change the order; Reset to time order undoes it. Services with the same display name are shown as one and move together.

How to set it up

  1. Go to Settings › Widget Management and open Booking Rules.
  2. Set Minimum Party Size.
  3. Choose Maximum Party Size from the list, or tick Manual override and type it.
  4. Pick a Time Slot Interval.
  5. Switch on Combine shift + date step if you want guests to choose a service first, and set the order.
  6. Click Save theme in the bottom bar.

Good to know

  • Online bookings can never be larger than 20 guests. For bigger groups, switch on Allow bigger group requests.
  • The interval only decides which start times are offered. Whether a time is actually free still depends on tables, durations, pacing and limits.
  • Times for an experience with fixed start times must fit this interval, or they are never shown (the experience editor warns you).
  • With Work without tables on, the maximum party size is always typed by hand.

Troubleshooting

Guests can't select more than 6 (or another number) online Maximum Party Size follows your floor capacity. Tick Manual override and set a higher number, up to 20. Make sure you also have tables (or table combinations) for that size, or the bigger sizes show no times.

The maximum party size list says "No capacity profile available" No floor capacity could be read for this location yet. Use Manual override, or check your tables under Table Management.

Guests only see times every 30 minutes, I want every 15 Change Time Slot Interval to 15 minutes and save. Check that the service does not have its own interval under Per-Shift Customization.

Lunch is shown after dinner in the widget Switch on Combine shift + date step and move the services with the arrows under Shift order in the widget.

"Regular Seating" still shows Hide Regular Seating in widget is off, or not saved. The switch only appears when table types exist.
